Costume & Film
Eucalan cleans and revitalizes delicate garments without toxic chemicals or excessive water consumption. Whether modern wardrobe, elaborate costumes, or historic vintage, Eucalan can be used to launder and refresh all varieties of designer wear. The gentle wash does not require rinsing, which minimizes agitation on these particularly delicate garments.
Many television shows use Eucalan regularly to maintain delicate wardrobes. Dancing with the Stars is one example that uses Eucalan each season to preserve the fine fabrics of their custom dance costumes. The Western Costume Supply (a sister business to the famous Western Costume Company) also carries Eucalan to service the film, commercial and television communities.
Eucalan’s no-rinse formula makes beaded and sequined fabrics sparkle; adds suppleness and pest resistance to vintage pieces; freshens up tough-to-launder wools, furs, and leathers; delicately launders fine lingerie; and much much more. It’s use is also considered a nontoxic and environmentally friendly alternative to dry cleaning.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR:
During production, delicate items often need refreshing. Garments such as military blouses, suits, and wool coats benefit from minimal, and intermittent upkeep. For general maintenance, a capful of Eucalan can be added to water in a spray bottle to act as a “spritz” for releasing locked up odors and to condition fibres. After spraying the garment, blot up surface dirt with a clean towel.
Care for costume is dependent on fabric and material. See below for our handwash basics, or visit our Laundry Lessons to seek out the fabric in question.
